Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This is a working draft written to reflect how FundDriveGo actually operates today. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it to govern real donor payments at scale.
1. What FundDriveGo is
FundDriveGo is a fundraising platform for schools, booster clubs, PTAs, and similar organizations. We provide the campaign pages, payment processing (via Stripe Connect), and reporting tools. We are not a party to the underlying relationship between an organization and its donors — a gift is made to the organization, not to FundDriveGo.
2. Who can use it
An organization account must be created by someone authorized to accept donations on that organization's behalf. Every organization goes through Stripe identity verification and a FundDriveGo compliance review before its campaigns can go live — we may decline or remove an organization that doesn't plausibly read as a real school-affiliated group, or that falls under Stripe's restricted business categories.
3. Fees
Every gift is charged a processing fee and a FundDriveGo platform fee, itemized for the donor before they confirm. A donor can choose to cover that fee so the organization receives the full gift amount; if they opt out, the fee is deducted from the gift instead. Fees are shown in full before checkout — never bundled in or hidden after the fact.
4. Payouts
Funds move to an organization's connected bank account on a rolling schedule once Stripe settles a charge — not to a FundDriveGo-held account. FundDriveGo does not guarantee a specific payout timeline; delays caused by Stripe, a bank, or a compliance hold are outside our control.
5. No guarantee of results
We provide the tools to run a campaign. We don't guarantee any campaign will reach its goal, that a specific number of donors will give, or that a payout will arrive by any particular date.
6. Participant information
An organization that adds a participant to a campaign (typically a student) is responsible for getting appropriate consent from that participant's parent or guardian before their name or photo appears on a public campaign page. FundDriveGo limits what a participant profile can hold (first name and last-initial only — never a full last name) but relies on the organization to obtain consent before publishing.
7. Prohibited uses
You may not use FundDriveGo to:
- Raise funds for anything other than the stated purpose of the campaign.
- Run a campaign for a business category Stripe restricts (see Stripe's published restricted-business list).
- Submit fraudulent, duplicate, or scripted donations to inflate a campaign's visible total.
- Impersonate an organization or individual you're not authorized to represent.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, with or without notice, especially where fraud or a payment dispute is involved.
8. Refunds and disputes
An organization admin can issue a refund to a donor from their dashboard. If a donor disputes a charge with their bank instead, FundDriveGo and the organization are notified, and the organization is responsible for responding to the dispute with any requested evidence before Stripe's deadline.
9. Disclaimers
FundDriveGo is provided "as is." We don't warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, FundDriveGo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use FundDriveGo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
